Advanced Clinical Massage for Shoulder Girdle Pain

I began massaging my children when they were babies, and continued to do so as they grew up. After many years in London working in the fast-paced media and financial sectors, I qualified as a practitioner in Deep Tissue Massage in 2001. Since then I have gained qualifications as a therapist in:

  • Seated Acupressure Massage,
  • Natural Lift Facial Massage, and
  • Massage in Cancer Care.

If we are injured we often want to rub the painful area, as children we liked to be stroked when upset. Massage is an evolved and sophisticated process that is based on our wish to comfort and heal. We know this works.

I enjoy doing all kinds of massage; working with everyone including the young, the elderly, those struggling with health issues and those who simply want to pamper themselves. I have a particular interest in ‘wellbeing for the older woman’ – we deserve to be nurtured from time to time.

I continue to expand my skills and knowledge by attending courses, and undertaking further training.

How I Work

I tailor each treatment to your needs. Whether you wish to feel deeply relaxed, energised, or just ‘better’ after a stressful week, your health and wellbeing are important to me. Once we have completed a brief medical history and looked at what you need, you will be expected to do nothing more than enjoy the treatment you have chosen.

Once the massage is over, you will have time alone to relax before getting dressed.

I am aware that for some massage is a new experience and that you may be unsure about booking a treatment and what it will involve. Therefore I offer a taster session where you can try a hand or foot massage, and ask me questions about the benefits of massage therapy.

When you feel comfortable enough to make another appointment, you will receive a five pound discount off your first full body massage.

Did you know....

Touch is the first sense to develop in humans. Touch stimulates the release of endorphins, the body's natural pain killers, which is why you can literally 'rub things better'.
